Helical Piles

Chester, PA-42

Helical piles are Shore’s bread and butter – we have crews out across the Greater Northeast area daily different types of piles. With our guidance, we can help you settle on a deep foundation solution and get a crew out to the project site for installation.

  • Helical piles can be used for both new and existing foundations.
    • Installing piles on a new foundation ensures its stability – using helical piles on an existing foundation ensures ongoing safety and prevents future settlement issues.
  • They can be applied to scale.
    • Our team has the know-how and experience to either help you with your home improvement project, or install hundreds of piles at a commercial site.
  • Their application is flexible – pile systems can be installed all year, in any weather condition.
    • We all know how varied the weather can be in the Northeast – our team is ready to go year-round.

Micropiles are one of the most flexible options available for deep foundations. You might consider micropliles to be a solution if your site has a special restriction or challenge that would make drilling traditional helical piles difficult.

  • Any site, any soil.
    • Micropiles are used to transfer loads through unstable soils, so they can be a great solution when helical piles or other deep foundation methods may not work.
  • Limited Access Areas.
    • Micropiles are not limited in their installation methods. This means that our team can install micropiles in less than ideal areas. This can include cities, areas with man-made obstacles, and more.

Soldier Piles and Lagging Wall

Soldier piles and lagging walls are normally used for temporary excavation support. They are commonly used to hold back soils during excavation activities in situations with limited access. Soldier piles can be adjusted for permanent use when beams are properly prepared with coating and wall facing.

  • Fast and Versatile
    • Not only are soldier piles quick to install, but changes to plans can be made on-site to accommodate various situations.
  • Cost-Effective
    • Normally, lagging walls are made with timber, which can save a considerable amount of budget when compared to steel.
